On this page we will be building an exhaustive list of activities that every member must perform. Each activity will be described in a separate post that you can read by pressing its link.
Candidates are not informed of these commitments before they join. This uninformed consent should render null and void the contract by which one joins.

Daily:
- Make an offering of the day first thing in the morning
- Mental prayer or Meditation twice a day (morning and evening)
- Attend Mass and receive Communion
- Make a visit to the Blessed Sacrament
- Read the Gospel and some spiritual book
- Recite Opus Dei prayers called Preces
- Recite Holy Rosary
- Make a specific examination of conscience at noon
- Recite Angelus or Regina Coeli at noon
- Wear spiked chain (cilice) for two hours
- Make a general examination of conscience at night
- Pray 3 Hail Mary (asking for the virtue of purity) before going to bed
Weekly:
- Go to confession with Opus Dei priest
- Whipping with discipline
- Personal chat/Spiritual direction with Opus Dei lay member
- Perform a physical sacrifice and recite the Salve or Regina Coeli on Saturdays
- Recite Psalm #2 on Tuesdays
Monthly:
- Attend a day/evening of recollection
- Turn in expense account
- Make a financial donation
Yearly:
- Attend a spiritual retreat
- Attend a workshop
- Make a list (with other local members) of potential recruits and commit to have them become members within the year, a.k.a. the St. Joseph list
Always:
- Presence of God
- Consideration of divine filiation
- Spiritual communions
- Acts of thanksgiving
- Acts of atonement
- Ejaculations
- Mortification
- Study
- Work
- Order
- Cheerfulness
